Measurements of the enthalpy of solution of SrCl2 in water and in 1 mol * dm^-3 HCl solution lead to ΔH_f⁰ (SrCl2, c, 298.15 K) = -(832.7 +/- 0.9) kJ * mol^-1, and to ΔH_f⁰ (Sr2+, aq, 298.15 K)
