Cobalt molybdates showed high catalytic activities for the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane to propene.Composition of the catalyst strongly affects surface acidic properties, resulting in a drastic activity change.Co0.95MoO4 calcined at 550 deg C showed the highest catalytic performance, giving 60percent selectivity to propene at 19percent conversion of propane.
