The derivation of eq 2 has been corrected in the Supporting
Information (page S18).
In addition, the proposed mass balance in the derivation of
the rate equation does not account for the change in [AgI]tot as
the reaction progresses. Thus, the derived rate expression does
not rationalize both the observed deactivation and the negative
rate order observed for compound 2 simultaneously.
We regret this error, and a solution to this matter is currently
being investigated. We thank Prof. Donna Blackmond for
bringing this to our attention.
