Molecular oxygen oxidized carbon monoxide at 17 deg C over Co-TPP-TiO2 by the rate of 5.3 E-3 mmol/g_cat.min which was comparable to that of a commercial Hopcalite, indicating very effective activation of carbon monoxide on the partially reduced Co ion of the supported complex to attract an oxygen atom from weakly adsorbed molecular oxygen.
