4. Conclusion
In conclusion, we have shown that the silica-based vanadium cat-
alyst III can be easily prepared from commercially available materials.
This catalyst can be considered as a heterogeneous version of vanadi-
um oxytrichloride and efficiently affects the thiocyanation of a variety
of organic compounds in room temperature. The described method
