9) In a communication with T. M. Klapotke, he has indicated that
̈
the Grundmann synthesis detailed in Scheme 2 is reproducible, and
has been used in his laboratories to synthesize DCFO.
(
10) For crude DCFO samples of 59% or 84% purity, we have been
able to produce pure samples of the bis-amidoxime furoxan
intermediate following the procedure detailed in ref 2. Purification
of DCFO is not necessary, as the impurities present do not carry over
in the preparation of its bis-amidoxime intermediate.
