The syntheses and characterization of heterobimetallic 'early-late' complexes containing the (t-C4H9O)3Ti unit combined with the fragments , and are described. <(t-C4H9O)3Ti-Mn(CO)5> crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2₁/c, with a=11.418(2), b=10.631(2), c=19.136(2) Angstroem, β=96.02(1) deg and Z=4.The electronic structures and differences in stabilities of complexes <((t-C4H9O)3Ti-Mn(CO)5>, <(t-C4H9O)3Ti-Co(CO)4> and <(t-C4H9O)3Ti-Co(CO)3PPh3> are discussed on the basis of EHMO calculations.Keywords: Titanium; Molybdenum; Iron; Manganese; Heterobimatallic complexes; Crystal structure; Hueckel MO-calculations
