    Table 2 compares average metal-oxygen (M–Oav), metal–nitrogen (M–Nav) and metal–halide (M–Xav) bond lengths (Å)  in Group 4 Schiff base complexes. The Ti–O bond lengths of 1.858(2) Å and 1.876(2) Å in 2 is comparable to the average Ti–O bond length of 1.835(5) Å reported for [TiCl2(salen)]ؒ thf.
