â rotation obtained upon protonation of [Ni(L)(MePhCHNH2)] into [Ni(HL)(MePhCHNH2)]+, expressed as a function of the laser wavelength
Synthesis, crystal structures, and nonlinear optical (nlo) properties of new schiff-base nickel(ll) complexes. toward a new type of molecular switch?
Figuer 8
The â rotation resulting from the protonation of [Ni(L)(MePhCHNH2)] is illustrated in Figure 8. The angle value is equal to 23.4° at zero frequency (λ f ∞), rises to 29.7° at λ ) 1.907 µm, and then becomes strongly dependent on the laser wavelength.
