    The experimental spectra of H2L  and [Ni(L)(MePhCHNH2)] that were recorded in acetone are compared in Figure 4. In H2L, the spectrum is dominated by an intense transition located at 438 nm (ꢀ ) 45 800 mol-1  L cm-1); a shoulder is present around 420 nm.
