  • Many reasons may cause hair loss, such as genetic, psychological and immune factors, including diet and the nutrition of food. As long as one chooses a proper diet according to the type of hair loss, he can often get some satisfactory results.

    First, seborrheic alopecia. The occurrence of seborrheic alopecia often has something to do with androgen, gene and age. Androgen is the major factor, which can increase the hyperplasia and secretion of sebaceous gland. As a result, your hair will become greasy and easy to fall out. Following are some important points for the diets:

    (1) Do not eat spicy food, give up smoking and wine, especially eat less greasy and sweet food, such as meat, peanut, chocolate and so on.

    (2) Eat more food with rich vegetable fiber and vitamin A. Such foods include leek, carrot, radish, amaranth, pumpkin, apricot and so on.

    (3) Eat more food containing rich and pantothenic acid, such as potato, pea, orange, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and black carp. Vitamin B6 can regulate the synthesis of fatty acids and fat, as well as stimulate the regeneration of hair. Pantothenic acid can promote tissue regeneration, protein synthesis and hair growth.

    (4) People with much dandruff and itching scalp should keep away from fried, fermented, and dairy foods, and turn to apple, apricot, carrot and some fresh vegetables.

    Second, hair loss in postpartum and menopause period. The reason for the hair loss in postpartum period is that after giving birth, as mothers have to take care of children, their physical condition hasn't recover to the normal function. As a result, their hair loss will increase. Hair loss during menopause is mainly due to the decreasing amount of estrogen and progestogen. Proper diet can help prevent such type of hair loss.

    (1) Three meals in a day should be balanced. And eat less food which will make the scalp too greasy, such as meat, peanut and chocolate.

    (2) Often add foods rich in iron, such as soy beans, spinach, peanut, banana, carrot and duck meat, eggs and carp.

    (3) Eat more food containing . plays an important role in the beauty of hair for females. Iodine can promote the secretory function of thyroid. You can eat more seafood such as seaweed and octopus.

    Third, white or yellow hair. Some person may suffer from leukotrichia when they are young. If it is not because of the genetic factor, then it may have something do to with diet. Lack of folate, pantothenic acid, protein, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and vitamin B6 is the main reason for early white hair.

    If there are excessive acid substances in blood, such as the large amount of lactic acid, and carbonic acid, it will be easy to make the hair become yellow. Excessive sugar and animal fat will both cause the formation of some acid substances in the metabolic process, so that the hair will become yellow. For patients with white hair or yellow hair, proper diet is very important.

    (1) Appropriately eat more vitamin-rich food, such as grains, beans, peanuts, green vegetables and fruits. Animal liver, persimmon, tomato and potato also contain a certain amount of copper, iron and other elements.

    (2) Avoid eating too much sweet food, candy, chocolate and so on. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, so as to avoid the yellow hair. In addition, black sesame, walnut and ginseng wine are also helpful to the prevention and treatment of yellow hair.
