- Pregnant Women Should Eat Nut Frequently

Nut is always regarded as a kind of important food to accelerate the development of the brain. It contains high-quality protein, various amino acids, vitamins, calcium, iron, zinc and so on. Therefore, it is good for people to eat nut in everyday life. Pregnant women should also eat nut frequently so as to improve the brain development of the fetuses.
Among all the foods, nut is regarded as fatty food. It is characterized by high energy and high fat. However, the oily fat contained in nut is mainly unsaturated fatty acid. For the body growth of the fetuses, the nutrient in the first place is protein, and the most important nutrient for the brain development is unsaturated fatty acid. According to the medical research, the brain cells are composed of 60% of unsaturated fatty acid and 35% of protein. In addition, nut contains 15% to 20% of high-quality protein and more than ten kinds of amino acids. These amino acids are all important components of cranial nerve cells. Other nutrients like vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin E, calcium and phosphorus are also contained in nut. For example, chestnut contains abundant sugar, starch, protein and carbohydrate. The content of vitamin C and carotene is also rather high. Pregnant women should often eat chestnut. Chestnut can accelerate the growth of pelvis and eliminate fatigue. Therefore, nut is beneficial to both pregnant women and the fetuses.
The kinds of nut are rather diverse. However, not all the products of nut are suitable for pregnant women to eat. Almond is toxic to some degree, and it is likely to cause fetal anomaly. Walnut meat is probably to cause abortion. In addition, the excessive intake of nut can cause dyspepsia. The moldy nut can increase the risk of getting cancer. As many kinds of nut have been pan-fried, excessive intake of nut can lead to excessive internal heat. Generally speaking, the intake volume of nut should be less than 50 grams. Because of high energy and high fat of nut, people should eat less than 28 grams of nut every day. If the symptoms of allergy appear, people should stop eating nut and ask the doctors for advice.
Under the normal circumstances, people, especially pregnant women, should eat nut frequently. Because of diverse nutrients like vitamin B1, calcium and zinc, nut is rather beneficial to the human health and the brain development of the fetuses.
