Four novel diterpenoid alkaloids, 15-deacetylvakognavine (2) , pelmadine (3) , palmasine (4) and 6-acetylheteratisine (5) , have been isolated from Aconitum palmatum Don. together with four known alkaloids.The structures of the new alkaloids were established by spectral evidence and synthesis.Palmadine (3) and Palmasine (4) are the first reported examples of C20-diterpenoid alkaloids bearing a cinnamoyl group.
