A new dinuclear copper(II) salicylate, [Cu₂(C₇H₅O₂)₄]·2C₂H₅OH·2H₂O, was prepared from copper(II) hydroxide and excess salicyclic acid in 80% ethanol. The structure was clarified by a single crystal X-ray analysis.
