Readily available enantiomerically pure epoxy vinyl sulfoxides, 10-13 and 15 undergo highly regio- and stereoselective S(N)2' displacements with alkyl cyanocuprates. The sulfinyl auxiliary controls the anti-syn stereochemistry of the process.
