2-Allyloxepanes have been prepared by reaction of 2-(4- nitrobenzyloxy)oxepanes with allyltrimethylsilane in acetonitrile in the presence of BF₃-Et₂O or from 2-ethoxyoxepane in liquid sulphur dioxide without catalyst.
