Darzens-type reaction of chloromethyl phosphonate with (S)-(+)-N- sulfinimines gave (Ss, 2S, 3R)-diethyl 3-aryl-2-N-(p- toluenesulfinyl)aziridinylphosphonate (3) in good yields.
