An x-ray structural study of silver(I) p-aminobenzoate has been carried out (automatic diffractometer, λCuK_α, heavy atom method, anisotropic refinement, R=0.093).The crystal structure consists of two types of polymeric network, alternating perpendicular to the a axis.The oxygen atoms of the carboxylate groups of the network of one type are introduced into the coordination sphere of the Ag atoms of neighboring networks, connecting them in a three-dimensional framework.The bond lengths are Ag-Ag 2.972(4), Ag-O 2.21(3)-2.65(2), Ag-N 2.29(3)-2.50(3) Angstroem.
