Catalytic activity was found for Rh³⁺ complexes with O-alkyl-S-alkyl thiocarbonates in the homogeneous hydrogenation of unsaturated compounds.Cyclic voltamperometry was used to detect the formation of rhodium hydride intermediates during the hydrogenation of alkenes in the presence of these complexes.
