CQC/CRC bonds of these four probes undergo hydroxy-
mercury reaction in the presence of Hg2+, and the detection
limit of Hg2+ reaches 0.79 mM. In addition, the terminal alkyne
hydrogens of BS2 and BS4 are easily dissociated into hydrogen
protons under the action of Ag+, and metal acetylides are easily
formed. The detection limit for Ag+ can be as low as 0.25 mM.
BODIPY-silk has been successfully synthesized. These fluorescent
silks also show perfect detection of Hg2+ or Ag+. Therefore, this
work can further expand the application range of silk, and
provides an method for the synthesis of highly efficient and
sensitive Hg2+ or Ag+ reactive probes.
