7-Chlorobicyclo[5.2.2]undeca-1(9),10-diene (2a) and the 7-hydroxy derivative 2b were prepared by oxidative decarboxylation of tricyclo[5.2.2.0^1,7]undec-10-ene-8-carboxylic acids 6a and 6b followed by acid-catalyzed isomerization.
