(0.1 g, 3 mol%) in anhydrous CH3CN (1.5 mL) and stirred at room temperature for the
indicated time. The mixture was poured into brine (20 mL) and extracted with Et2O (3
× 50 mL). The combined organic layers were washed with aqueous NaHCO3 (20 mL)
and brine (20 mL), dried over Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated. Homoallylic ether was
isolated by flash chromatography (silica, pentane/CH2Cl2, or pentane/Et2O).
