To ensure stable and increased grain production, technological innovation and industrialization, including biological breeding, need to continue to be steadily advanced. Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China on December 11, 2023 showed that according to a survey of 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country, the country’s total grain output in 2023 was 1,390.82 billion kilograms, an increase of 17.76 billion kilograms or 1.3% over the previous year. It has been stable at more than 1.3 trillion catties for nine consecutive years. Technological innovation in the seed industry is indispensable for these amazing achievements.It has made positive contributions to stabilizing the global food market and maintaining world food security.
