Hydrophobic interaction chromatography of aliphatic alcohols and carboxylic acids on octyl-SEPHAROSE CL-4B (cas 61970-08-9): mechanism and thermodynamics
-
Add time:07/15/2019 Source:sciencedirect.com
The retenion of homologous aliphatic alchohols and carboxylic acids in dilute phosphate buffer solution was measured on octyl-Sepharose CL-4B and on unsubstituted Sepharose CL-4B as a function f chaing lenghts, pH and temperature. From the retention data the standard thermodynamic function (Δ°, ΔPCp, ΔH°, ΔS°) of the interactio were calculated. The thermodynamics and mechanism of the retention process are discussed.
