Poly[1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-(pentafluorophenyl)propan-2-yl methacrylate (I)] was synthesized, and the copolymers of the monomer I with various compositions of methyl methacrylate (MMA) were prepared and characterized. The glass transition temperature values obtained for the copolymers were between 120 and 150 °C. The refractive indices of the copolymers were in the range of 1.4350–1.4872 at 532 nm. They were thermally stable (up to 297–323 °C), and their water absorptive properties were greatly decreased, compared with pure PMMA.
