  • After taking some sports and exercises, a lot of people will often suffer from muscle swelling, joint pain, as well as mental fatigue. In order to relieve the fatigue as soon as possible, they will eat a lot of rich foods such as chicken, fish, meat, eggs, etc, thinking that this can add enough nutrition to meet the needs of the body. In fact, eating these foods after exercise not only can not relieve the fatigue, on the contrary, they have some adverse effects on the body.

    Human food can be divided into acidic food and alkaline food. The pH of the food is not decided by our taste, nor is it decided by the chemical nature of the food when it is soluble in water. Instead, it is determined according to the PH of the final metabolites generated by the food which has entered into human body. Foods with a sour taste are usually rich in protein, fat and sugar, and also contain potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and other minerals. After these materials are metabolized in the body, they will turn into alkaline substances. As a result, the foods with a sour taste usually belong to alkaline food rather than acidic food. On the contrary, foods such as chicken, fish, meat, eggs, etc, although they do not have a sour taste, they still belong to acidic food.

    After long-term study, an American pathologist pointed out that, only when the body fluid is alkalescent, can it maintain the health of the body. After taking physical exercise, people often suffer from muscle and joint soreness, as well as mental fatigue. This is mainly because that a great amount of sugar, fat and proteins are decomposed in the body. During the decomposition process, it will produce some acidic substances such as lactic acid, phosphoric acid and so on. These acidic substances will stimulate human tissues and organs, making people have the feeling of muscle and joint soreness and mental fatigue. At this moment, if people only eat the foods which are rich in acidic substances such as meat, eggs and fish, it will make the body fluids much more acidic, which is not helpful to relieve the fatigue.

    As a result, after taking physical exercises, people should eat more alkaline-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, bean products, and so on, so as to help maintain the basic balance of the pH in the body, keep human body healthy, and eliminate the fatigue caused by the exercises as soon as possible.
