A noncyclic glycol ether type ligand, carrying two terminal electron-donor groups shows intermolecular charge transfer interaction with TCNQ.The thermodynamic equilibrium constant is strongly influenced by addition of potassium perchlorate.The results are discussed in view of steric effects which mimics allosteric effects.
