The X-ray single-crystal structure determination of the title compound, [A1(CH3)3(C11H16N2)], reveals that the Al atom is four-coordinate in a distorted tetrahedral environment and is bonded to the N atom of the piperazine molecule carrying the methyl group, with an Al-N bond length of 2.050 (2) A. The piperazine ring adopts a chair conformation.
