Heating trialkyl phosphites with N-acyl aziridines produces dialkyl 2-amidoethyl-phosphonates bearing one of the phosphite alkyl groups on nitrogen.Other alkoxy phosphines behave analogously.Dilakyl phophites furnish the same type of products devoid of the N-alkyl group.
