hydrosilanes and hydroxylamines. The reaction proceeds via
hydrosilylation/hydroamination sequence, and the corresponding
a-aminosilanes are obtained in a single operation. Additionally,
the asymmetric synthesis is also possible to deliver the
enantioenriched a-aminosilanes of interest in medicinal
chemistry.[22] Improvement of the reaction efficiency as well as
enantioselectivity and expansion of this reaction concept to other
type alkyne difunctionalizations are currently underway.

[17] Synthesis of the gem-disilanes by the double hydrosilylation of terminal
alkynes with relatively bulky secondary silanes still remains a great
challenge. See ref [3].
[18] In Schemes 5a–c, we used Cu(OAc)2 instead of CuCl because the
reaction of 5ma was not catalyzed by CuCl. With the CuCl catalyst
precursor, the terminal alkyne was necessary for the reaction initiation,
which was confirmed by some control experiments. See the Supporting
Information for more details.
