  • A lot of people are troubled by some stomach discomforts, such as pantothenic acid, flatulence, hiccup, and so on. Recently, the "American online" health website has published a list of the top 10 foods which are the most harmful to the health of stomach.

    1. Mint
    Mint will relax esophageal sphincter, and increase the risk of pantothenic acid. You should be careful with any food containing mint, such as mint tea, peppermint, mint gum, and so on.

    2. Soda water and juice
    These two kinds of drinks contain a large number of fructose. About 30 percent of adults can't absorb fructose very well, which may lead to gastrointestinal discomfort.

    3. Beans
    Beans contains plenty of oligosaccharide, which is difficult to be digested by human body, thus may cause flatulence. In such a case, appropriately eating some fermented bean products can improve the symptom, such as preserved bean curd, natto, and so on.

    4. Coffee
    Coffee will stimulate the stomach to secrete excessive gastic acid, causing indigestion and pantothenic acid. Especially for the patients who suffer from ulcer and heartburn, they should drink less coffee and caffeinated drinks.

    5. Broccoli
    Broccoli is extremely rich in soluble dietary fiber. This kind of fiber can only be decomposed in the large intestines, and then it will produce a lot of gas, which may cause flatulence.

    6. Tomato
    Tomato can stimulate the stomach produce a lot of gastic acid. As a result, eating too many tomatoes can cause pantothenic acid, heartburn and other symptoms.

    7. Dairy products
    People who suffer from lactose intolerance should keep away from dairy products, otherwise, it can cause stomach discomforts. In such a case, they can choose yogurt, hard cheese, or milk which contains little lactose.

    8. Fatty foods
    Foods that contain a large number of fat, such as fried foods, will increase the risk of pantothenic acid. This is because high-fat foods are difficult to be digested, so the human body will automatically secrete more gastic acid.

    9. Cold drinks
    Too much cold drinks can decrease the temperature in the stomach, and affect the secretion of gastric acid and the function of digestive enzyme. As a result, do not take in too much cold drinks. It is better to drink some hot drinks, such as tea and hot lemonade.

    10. Chocolate
    Chocolate contains a lot of theobromine, which can relax esophageal sphincte, so the gastric acid will easily flow back to the esophagus, thus causing stomach discomfort.
