  • When the menstruation is ready to come, there are always some ordinary syndromes in the women, such as agitation, mood swings, chest or abdominal swelling, change in appetite, mouth ulcer, acne and so on. In fact, if you want to improve these symptoms, in addition to have a normal life, and form the habit of taking exercises, you can also take in proper diets according to different physical conditions. No matter whether you are being troubled by menstrual problems or not, nutritionists have proposed nine principles of diet for women to ease menstrual discomfort. If you take these suggestions and continue for four to six weeks, all the discomfort will gradually be improved.

    First, do not deliberately eat sweet food, such as drinks, cake, brown sugar and candy, so as to prevent the instability of blood sugar and avoid aggravating the discomfort during the menstrual period. You should eat more high fiber foods.

    Second, foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole-wheat bread, brown rice and oats contain a lot of fiber, which can promote the elimination of estrogen, increase the magnesium content in the blood, and also has the function of regulating menstruation and calming the nerves.

    Third, eat some foods rich in vitamin B group between meals, such as walnuts, cashew nuts, dried beans and so on. You should take in adequate protein.

    Fifth, avoid drinking the beverage containing caffeine. It can avoid the fluctuation of the level of blood sugar, and eliminate some discomfort such as heartbeat acceleration, dizziness, fatigue, emotional instability and so on.

    Sixth, coffee, tea and other beverage will increase anxious and unrest emotions. You can drink barley tea or mint tea instead.

    Seventh, avoid eating something too hot or too cold. It may cause sudden change of the body temperature, and bring dangerous consequences to the body.

    Eighth, women with a large blood loss should eat more spinach, red date, raisins and other high fiber quality foods, so as to enrich the blood.

    Ninth, for women who are faced with menopause, they should take in food rich in calcium, such as milk, fish and so on.
