Menopause is an important turning point during the whole life of women. Therefore, it is also important for menopausal women to know well about how to keep themselves healthy during the menopause. Four skills have been introduced by some experts to menopausal women.
The first skill is to dress up properly. A nice appearance and proper behaviors can enhance confidence for menopausal women. Menopausal women can express the beauty of maturity by elegant dress and personal adornments.
The second skill is to strengthen the physical exercises. Some kinds of sport like rope skipping and long-distance running are rather suitable for menopausal women. When people are jumping rope, the whole body including the brain constantly takes exercises, too. The fingers hold the rope reelingly, which can stimulate the acupuncture points of thumbs to impact on the brain and further to enhance the vitality of the brain. Thus, the ability of thinking and imagining can be raised. Long-distance running can produce a large amount of catecholamine which can strengthen the excitation process of cerebral cortex and enhance the human sensitivity. When menopausal women are depressive, the secretory volume of catecholamine can be reduced. Therefore, menopausal women can treat depressive disorders by long-distance running.
The third skill is to maintain a happy and optimistic mood. A happy mood can enhance the excitability of cerebral cortex and nerve system and explore the potential capacity for people. In addition, a happy mood can help people enhance the appetite, maintain a good sleep and strengthen the vitality. In short, to be happy and optimistic is beneficial for menopausal women to resist diseases and adapt to the menopause.
The fourth skill is to supplement necessary nutrients to meet personal needs. Menopausal women with dizziness, insomnia and emotional instability should eat foods containing abundant vitamin B, such as coarse food grain, bean food, lean meat and milk. Milk contains tryptophan which plays an important role in helping people calm down and fall asleep. In addition, excitant foods like wine, coffee, strong tea and pepper should not be eaten. Menopausal women with poly-menorrhea and anemia can choose the foods which contain rich protein, such as eggs, lean meat and beans. Pork liver, vegetables and fruits should also be eaten frequently. Menopausal women with high cholesterol can lower cholesterol by eating lean meat and fish. Beans are also suitable to choose.
