Sequence Dependence in Solid-Phase-Synthesis-Cyclization-Cleavage for Cyclo(-arginyl-glycyl-aspartyl-phenylglycyl-)

A cyclic tetrapeptide with inhibitory activity toward cell adhesion, cyclo(-Arg-Gly-Asp-Phe-) (phg, phenylglycine) (IC₅₀ = 10 μM), was synthesized.The cyclization-cleavage of the protected precursor from the oxime resin significantly depended on the sequences of the linear tetrapeptides assembled by solid-phase-synthesis on the resin.
