The addition of phenyl- and 1,1-dimethylhydrazine to 2,4-dibenzoyl-3-phenyl-1,4-pentadiene leads to the formation of the corresponding 1-substituted 3,5-dibenzoyl-4-phenylpiperidines. 3-Benzoyl-4,6-diphenyl-1,7-diazabicyclo<3.2.1>oct-6-ene was obtained in
