ous NaOH (50 %), and the aqueous layer was backextracted with
diethyl ether (2 × 20 mL). The ethereal solution was dried with so-
dium sulfate, filtered, and the solvent was removed under reduced
pressure. The residue was purified further by flash column chroma-
tography on silica gel using cyclohexane/diethyl ether (9:1) as elu-
ent to afford the desired amine.
