Efficient 1,2-asymmetric induction was achieved in the copper-catalyzed cyclization of N-allyltrichloroacetamides derived from 3-amino-1-butene or 3-amino-1-heptene, in which the stereochemical course was dependent on nitrogen protecting groups.
