The thiono-thiolo allylic rearrangement of O-allyl phosphoro- and phosphonothionates is effected by catalysis with Pd(0).A wide variety of O-allyl thionates (17 kinds) are rearranged selectively to the thermodynamically more stable regio- and stereoisomers via a (?-allyl)palladium intermediate.Thermal rearrangement of α- and γ-methallyl diethyl phosphorothionates is reinvestigated in relation to the regioselectivity observed in the palladium(0) catalysis.
