Four novel bibenzyl derivatives; 3,4,3',4'-dimethylenedioxybibenzyl, 3,3'-dimethoxy-4,5-methylenedioxybibenzyl, 3,3'-dimethoxy-4,5-methylenedioxy-4'-hydroxybibenzyl and 3,3'-dihydroxy-4,5,4',5'-dimethylenedioxybibenzyl were isolated from three Frullania species of liverworts and their structures were determined by spectral evidence and synthesis. - Key Word Index: Frullania bonincola; F. davurica; F. diversitexta; F. ericoides; F. parvistipula; F. usamiensis; F. vethii, Frullaniaceae; Jungermanniales; Hepaticae; bibenzyls; sesquiterpenoids.
