Histidine derivatives

Histidine,The chemical name is β-midazole -α- aminopropanoic acid. Histidine is discovered by Kossel in 1896 in protamine of eel sperm. It is a colorless crystal, and insoluble in water. The isoelectric point is 7.59. Histone is widely spread in all kinds of proteins, especially in the protein within chromosome (e.g. histone). The metabolic abnormalities of histone will lead to some disease, such as histidinemia, a kind of asymptomatic human metabolic disease. The lack of histidase causes histidine and its deamination product (imidazole pyruvic acid) present in blood and urine with an abnormal number. The sufferer shows dysphasia. Histidine has a certain effect on invasive hepatitis. Its metabolites - Histamine is a vasodilator which can reduce blood pressure. Histidine also can be used for oil antioxidants.
